The Cut
Consultation, scissor and clipper work, hot towel finish.

Oak & Iron is a barber lounge built around a single idea — that the half-hour spent in our chair should feel like the most considered moment of your week.
We do not chase the new. We refine what already works — hot lather, honed steel, an unhurried hand. What we offer is not a haircut. It is a small reclamation of time.
We keep the menu short on purpose. Every service is performed by the same hands that perform every other.
Consultation, scissor and clipper work, hot towel finish.
Two-pass shave with hot towels, pre-shave oil and balm.
Shape, line and condition. Trimmed against the grain.
Cut, shave, scalp ritual, bourbon. Our full house service.
Two chairs. Two cuts. One quiet hour together.

Twenty years of straight razors, learned in Copenhagen, sharpened in Portland.

Texture specialist. Builds fades the way an architect draws elevations — with intention.

Six chairs. A long oak bar. A short list of bourbons. The room was designed by the same hands that built it — over fourteen months, in the upstairs of an 1894 ironworks.
A short shelf of products, blended in our backroom, poured by hand into amber glass. Used on every guest. Sold to those who ask.

The Ledger is our membership — one cut and one shave each month, two bourbons on the house, and a key to the back room. Forty seats, no more.
“The closest shave I've had since my grandfather's. I now plan my month around the appointment.”
“It is the only room in the city where my phone stays in my pocket the entire hour.”
“Henrik does not cut hair so much as resolve it. There is a difference.”
Appointments by telephone or letter. We answer both. Walk-ins are welcome when the room allows.
